Legos & Life

I went to an exhibit at The Franklin Institute that featured an artist who used legos. His art was amazing, but his messages behind each piece and how he got there is what helped bring his work up a notch.

Nathan Sawaya left his job of being a lawyer to follow his dreams and pursue what he loves. Each of his pieces was made with thousands of legos that were carefully put together. After viewing a dozen or so pieces, I began to look at the artwork differently. Each lego was carefully placed. Some pieces I had to step back to see the full picture.

It is much like each moment and event in our lives. Each moment is carefully placed to put together a much bigger picture. Sometimes we have to step back to see the bigger picture.

  1. Very insightful...and so true. Sometimes we have to step back and take a look at what we are doing. And sometimes, the pieces we weren't so sure about are the ones that fit the best. :-)

  2. That last paragraph resonated with me. Thank you so much for sharing this!
